Bio

Boston Pizza RDP Athlete of the Week for January 26, 2026

Kira Main played an integral role in the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Basketball team’s 66-42 victory over the Olds College Broncos. Main, a first-year Bachelor of Education student, was effective at both ends of the court, totaling six points and 10 rebounds (six defensive rebounds and four in the offensive zone).

She sank one three-pointer, made a free-throw and successfully connected on another shot from the field. Sylvan Lake’s Main was recognized as the North Star Sports Queens Player of the Game for her outstanding performance.

Next, Main and the RDP Queens will challenge the Rattlers in Medicine Hat on Friday, February 6.
