RDC Athlete of the Week for Jan. 27, 2020

Hollie Vincent had an exceptional weekend on the ice for Queens Curling at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Winter Regional. The second-year moved from second to skip this season and has made a seamless adjustment. Hollie, who is a Bachelor of Science Nursing student, did an excellent job managing the strategy all weekend and made numerous clutch shots to lead the Queens to an impressive 5-1 record. The RDC Queens qualified for the ACAC Championships with a combined 8-4 standing from both regionals, which placed the group in a tie for first place in the women’s division with the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings (8-4) and NAIT Ooks (8-4). The team really gelled this past weekend, gathering a lot of momentum heading into the ACAC Curling Championships. RDC will host the event from February 28 to March 1 at the Pidherney Centre.
