Queens earn another win, one draw remains

After three days and six draws, the RDC Queens sport an even record (3-3) and will need a victory on Tuesday to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Kings have been involved in some close games but haven't had the bounces go their way.

The Queens had a strong start on Monday. After the RDC Queens and NAIT Ooks were tied 3-3 after five ends, the Queens outscored the Ooks 7-2 in the latter half to earn a convincing 10-5 victory. At 9:00 p.m., the MacEwan University Griffins edged the Queens 8-6 on the strength of a 4 point ninth end.

At 1:00 p.m., the Kings dropped a close 7-5 decision to the Douglas Royals. The Fanshawe Falcons picked up an 8-3 win over the RDC Kings in the evening draw.

One round robin draw remains for both RDC Curling teams. Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., the RDC Queens will compete against the Fleming Knights (0-6) and the Kings will play the Niagara Knights (2-4). The top four men's and women's teams will qualify for the playoffs.
